DAC Speaker Series - Marti Whitmore - "Colorado's Water Laws and Attorney Experiences" Our March Guest Speaker is Martha “Marti” (Phillips) Whitmore (Theta), partner in the Ouray law firm of Hockersmith & Whitmore, LLC. Marti has practiced law in Colorado since 1978, primarily in water, environmental permitting, public lands, and natural resources. She will share her experience as an attorney in private practice, as County Attorney, Chief Deputy Attorney General of Colorado, General Counsel to U.S. Senate Commerce Committee, and a political appointee in the Department of Interior. She is on the Gunnison Basin Round Table, is co-chair of the Club 20 Water Committee, is on the Colorado River Water Conservation District board, and is Vice President of the River District.
